The band has made it to the final and now needs you to vote for them - you can do this by visiting Yorkshire Evening Post Website. Watch Shakinout's New Video!

Shakinouts recently filmed the brand new video for their next single 'Are You Happy!?' due out in July 2009. The video is nearly 7 minutes long and was filmed on location in Leeds and Scarborough over the course of a week in May 2009. Shakinouts Once Again Back in the News!

Shakinouts have been busy recording new songs and filming a new video. In May 2009 the band featured once again in the newspapers speaking about their upcoming gig in Leeds at the cockpit on Friday 5th June.

New Shakinouts Video Coming Soon!

Shakinouts filmed their new video over the course of a week in May. Filming took place in Leeds and Scarborough. The video is for their new single 'Are You Happy!? which you can listen to by clicking on the music player on the right of this page - it's track number 2.

Shakinouts in Scarborough Press

Shakinouts were featured in the online version of the Scarborough Evening News . The article goes into more detail about the band and how they are headlining the first of the gigs called Coastlive, at Vivaz on June 21.

Shakinouts on BBC One - News at 10!

In Febrary 2009 Shakinouts were invited by the Yorkshire Evening Post to play on the picket line as they went on strike at job cuts. Since then the cuts have gone national and in March the protests made the main BBC news at 10 on BBC1 - you can watch it now here.

Shakinouts in the Papers Again

On Thursday 15th January Shakinouts were back in the papers talking about their upcoming gig at the Cockpit in Leeds on Friday 23rd January 2009.

Shakinouts Headline the Cockpit - Friday 23rd Janu

Shakinouts are playing the legendary Cockpit venue with support from their friends bands. Tickets are £4 and free entry is including into Leeds best pop indie disco afterwards - The Session! They will be hosting the after party. Tickets are on sale on the door and also from Jumbo Records and Crash Records in Leeds. The night starts from 7pm and will be recorded live for EL FM radio.

Shakinouts Back on BBC Radio

Shakinouts invited back onto BBC Radio Leeds. Shakinouts will once again be playing live on the radio this Thursday evening from 8pm. You can tune into the station at 92.3FM or listen online. The show will also be available for a week as a BBC listen again show. The show is hosted by Adam Pope and the band will be discussing the upcoming gig at the cockpit in Leeds.

Shakinouts in the Leeds Weekly News

Shakinouts appeared in the Leeds Weekly news in November 2008. The band were interviewed about there upcoming gig on 19th December at Leeds University (tickets on sale now) as well as their plans for 2009. A big home town headlining gig will be announced very soon for very early in the new Year. Shakinouts Live on BBC Radio Leeds

Shakinouts went on the BBC Radio's Adam Pope Unplugged show in Thursday 20th November at 8pm to talk all things Shakinouts and also a little bit about their links to the city and love of Leeds United Football team (accept the band's Matt Wilson who supports Manchester United). Shakinouts also played two songs live. You can listen again to the show until the 27th November. The band were also delighted to be used as part of the BBCs football music on Saturday when one of their songs was used alongside one of the games highlights compilations! Shakinouts in the Press Again

Shakinouts singers and guitarists Jamie Williamson and Matt Wilson were interviewed by a local Leeds newspaper, The Wharfe Valley Times this week in promotion of the bands upcoming gigs headlining the Spinning Wheel in Leeds (November 28th) and supporting The Farm at Leeds Stylus (19th December). The interview was done by the papers lovely editor Laura Bowyer.

Shakinouts in the Yorkshire Evening Post

Shakinouts once again were in the papers last week as the Yorkshire Evening Post's Richard Edwards interviewed the band's Ben Hope about their upcoming gig. Supporting The Farm in December at Stylus in Leeds. Richard always interviewed The Farms lead singer, Peter Hooton, who spoke highly of the band calling Shakinouts 'a young up and coming band!' - very nice of him. Shakinouts EP Secrets is on sale now in Jumbo and Crash in Leeds priced £3. Look out for these posters up in shops or being handed out as fliers in a city near you. Band Details

We keep getting asked about where the band originates from so here is some basic info about us. Matt is from Wetherby, Ben is from Kirkstall, Jamie is from Yeadon and Alex is from Dewsbury. All born and still located in Leeds. The band formed due to a lack of things to do and a mutual love for great pop songs. More info about the band will be added on the site soon!
